Who We Are?
About Turbo Angler — Jim McDonald
I’m Jim McDonald, the fisherman behind Turbo Angler Fishing — a seasoned angler who has spent more than a decade studying and applying the teachings of Buck Perry, the Father of Structure Fishing. Buck’s system changed everything for me. Once I committed to his proven methods, my fishing became predictable, repeatable, and more successful than anything I’d experienced before.
For over 10 years, I’ve been following Buck’s principles on lakes across the Southwest, and the results speak for themselves. Understanding structure, depth, migration routes, and seasonal movements has allowed me to catch fish with a level of consistency I never thought possible.
And in the true spirit of Buck’s teachings, I’ve made it a mission to share these methods with any angler willing to give them an honest try. Whether it’s through coaching, on‑the‑water training, or simple conversations with curious fishermen, I enjoy helping others discover the same breakthroughs that transformed my own fishing.
Turbo Angler exists for one reason: To help anglers fish smarter, find and understand structure, and catch more fish.

Our Core Values
At TurboAngler Fishing, everything we do is anchored in four simple but powerful values: Honesty, Integrity, Safety, and Value. These aren’t buzzwords to us — they’re the standards we hold ourselves to on the water, in our content, at our events, and in every product we stand behind.
Honesty
We tell the truth about fishing — the good days, the tough days, the real techniques that actually work. No hype. No shortcuts. Just straight talk and proven methods that help anglers fish smarter and catch more.
Integrity
We do what’s right even when no one is watching. From the way we teach structure‑fishing principles to the way we run events and recommend gear, we operate with transparency and respect for every angler who trusts us.
Safety
Fishing is supposed to be fun — and that starts with staying safe. Whether you’re on a boat, a kayak, or the bank, we promote responsible practices, proper equipment use, and smart decision‑making on the water.
Value
We believe in delivering real value: practical education, reliable information, and gear recommendations that make sense. No fluff. No wasted time. Just tools and knowledge that help you become a better angler every time you hit the water.
